[Easy Korean] Unit 6 -았어요/었어요

1. the final vowel : ㅏ[a] or ㅗ[o]   →  -았어요[a-sseo-yo]
2. the final vowel : ㅓ[eo], ㅕ[yeo], ㅜ[u], ㅡ[eu], ㅣ[i]   →   -었어요[eo-sseo-yo]
3. -하다[ha-da]   →   -했어요[hae-sseo-yo]

았었어요

Let’s take a look at some examples.

A: 지연 씨, 어제했어요?  : Ji-Youn, what did you do yesterday?
   ji-yeon  ssi,    eo-je    mwo   hae-sseo-yo

B: 학교 갔어요.  : I went to the school.
   hak-gyo-e  ga-sseo-yo
      place marker

A: 수영 씨, 오늘먹었어요?  : Soo-Young, what did you eat today?
soo-young ssi,  o-neul  mwo meo-geo-sseo-yo

B: 김치찌개 먹었어요.  : I ate kim-chi soup.
kim-chi-jji-gae-reul  meo-geo-sseo-yo

A: 제니 씨, 한국에 언제 왔어요? : Jenny, when did you come to Korea?
jenny ssi,   han-guk-e   eon-je  wa-sseo-yo

B: 1년 왔어요.  : I came to Korea 1 year ago.
